Moorland Fell Cowl. Aran Weight Knitting Pattern

£5.00

This listing is for the KNITTING PATTERN only and not the finished garment.

This pattern has been inspired by the Outlander story and the warmth of wool needed in Scotland particularly in the 1700s.

This is an easy knitted piece made in chunky or aran weight yarn, that sits wrapped twice around your neck for a warm and comforting hug.

I like to create designs that can be knitted from an early stage in your knitting journey, but that don’t necessarily look like it!

Its been inspired by my love of Outlander and the Scottish Highlands, and was a design I made on my 50th Birthday to give myself a hug!

I see this being worn by Claire whilst she is riding across the fells or collecting her herbs in the woods.

It’s a pattern suitable for all abilities

I haven’t included a gauge chart as its not really necessary for this piece.

The yarn I have used for this is Cascade Eco Plus, a gorgeous 100% Peruvian Highland wool that’s both soft and springy to the touch. A perfect yarn to create a warm woollen cowll, that’s available in a wide range of colours.
