“Home Again” Sontag Shawl

This is a comfort shawl, wrapping around and providing a hug and security of home.
This is a historical style of triangular shawl that wraps and ties at the back with long tails.
I have added the stocking stitch border for interest and to also keep the simplistic style to the piece.
I have created it here in a medium brown 100% wool in keeping with the period it would have been worn.
Approx Overall Yarn Used 550m on 7mm needles

It’s been inspired by my love of history and the Scottish Highlands.


This listing is for the KNITTING PATTERN only and not the finished garment.

It’s a pattern suitable for all abilities.


I haven’t included a gauge chart as its not really necessary for this piece.
