“Chawton”
With 2025 being the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, I felt the draw to create some designs around her books and her life.
This is the third one and is named after her home in Hampshire, which is now a museum and is dedicated to her life and work.
This is a chunky shawl that I have created using a very light and open yarn base on large needles which has resulted in a quick to make piece and one that is very soft and warm due to the alpaca in the blend.
It’s a small shawl that can be worn as a cowl as well as worn in the traditional way around the shoulders.
There are no charts, the pattern is written row by row, and is suitable for any knitting ability.
This listing is for the KNITTING PATTERN only and not the finished garment.
It’s a pattern suitable for all abilities.
