Over Exposure Shawl 4Ply Knitting Pattern

£5.00

“Over Exposure”
This design has been bought into being due to the dyer Countess Ablaze pulling the yarn and designing world together and creating a collective based on one of her fantastic yarns called “If I Wanted Exposure I Would Get My Tits Out”.

This was born from highlighting the issue of equality for women in the workplace and the community.
Each sale from this pattern will have 20% donated to the Animal Cancer Trust which is a charity and disease currently very close to my heart, and I dedicate this pattern to my dog Gillie who lost his battle four weeks ago and who was my companion whilst working on all my patterns, this is the first without him.
I have designed the shawl to be lacy and exposing on one side in keeping with the theme of the collective, whilst the other side is longer in length to allow the exposure to be covered, hence the shawls “Over Exposure” title.

It’s an asymmetrical semi circular shawl, suitable for any beginner upwards who is able to create eyelets and drop stitches….there are a lot of stitches to the shawl in the finishing stages, but I hope you will enjoy knitting them.

Approx Overall Yarn Used 840m on 3.5mm needles

The shawl could easily be made bigger if desired by repeating any of the row sections, and I feel would also look fantastic with maybe a picot edge to finish, time was against me with this one…

With this event only having approx. 10 days to launch, I created it with 2 skeins, the pattern has been tested by myself whilst in the making but due to time constraints a complete testing of the work wasn’t possible. I hope you will be gentle with me if you were to find any errors, I will of course provide any adjustments if they become necessary.
