“Jocasta”
Using 4ply/sock/fingering weight yarn held together with a silk mohair lace yarn I have created a simple timeless shawl, that is soft, warm and pure luxury to wrap around yourself.
Its been created as part of a wedding collection I am putting together as well as tying into the Outlander series where the character Jocasta wears a plain shawl made from similar yarn.
It’s a piece suitable for a beginner, with simple stitches and an introduction to eyelet stitches for some interest.
The pattern also allows for you to make without the eyelets if you wish the style to be completely plain in its finished look.
I hope you enjoy creating this shawl and that the finished result brings much pleasure and joy in its wearing.
Overall yarn used approx 700m 4ply and 700m Mohair lace on 6mm needles
It’s been inspired by my love of Outlander, the Scottish Highlands and historical clothing and textiles.
