“The Brae”
This is a textured knit crescent shaped shawl using three skeins of aran weight yarn to create a piece that can be worn in a variety of ways.
Its suitable for a beginner with some experience and makes a relaxing “television” project for those that like a shawl that knits up quickly.
The name Brae comes from the Scottish word for a steep bank or hillside.
I have designed this piece as part of an Outlander Knit Along with Honey Girl Farms.
Approx Overall Yarn Used 498m on 6.5mm needles
It has been inspired by my love of Outlander, the Scottish Highlands and historical clothing and textiles.
I hope you enjoy the making and wearing of the shawl and as always thank you for the support of my work.
This listing is for the KNITTING PATTERN only and not the finished garment.
It’s a pattern suitable for all abilities.
