Scottish Thistle 4ply Knitting Pattern

“Scottish Thistle”
Depending on how you decide to finish the joining seam will make these into handwarmers around your thumb or arm warmers.
They have been designed with the beginner knitter in mind, have simple stitches and shaping, and can be made longer if you so wish.
They are knitted flat and then flat seamed together, so no juggling working in the round, and are perfect for that special skein of luxury yarn you have waiting to use.
They are created in 4ply/sock/fingering weight yarn approx 400m on 3.5mm and 3.75mm needles
Perfect for a quick gift or to simply give your own arms a treat.
The inspiration has been historical costume and I have used the name Scottish Thistle in remembrance of all the healing women that would have worn such a garment as they collected healing herbs in the highlands.
