“My Darling” Cowl/Capelet
This pattern contains the written instructions for making this design in two different styles in DK weight yarn.
It’s a simple design created using short rows and garter stitch, that produces a piece carrying warmth to the shoulders and neck, and then with lace detail to the second option, creating a piece that’s suitable for everyday use, or an occasion piece for maybe a wedding or evening, when you need a little warmth around the shoulders as well as a pretty feminine wrap.
I hope that whichever you decide to create it in, that you have fun both in the making as well as the wearing.
It’s a simple knit and suitable for all knitters in the garter stitch and an introduction to simple lace in the other style.
Approx Overall Yarn Used 450m on 5mm needles
It’s been inspired by my love of the Scottish Highlands.
